[425] Infinite Jest of Meaning

Holding all answers⁣⁣
But unable to act them out⁣⁣
In too deep ⁣⁣
But unable to see through ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The thought of eternity⁣⁣
is a joke God played on us⁣⁣
laughing at us from beyond ⁣⁣
the infinite darkness⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If I find the reason for it all⁣⁣
why do I presume to find it in ⁣⁣
the intellect, the seriousness,⁣⁣
the intelligence ⁣⁣
when it very well can be⁣⁣
veiled behind a joke⁣⁣
A joke to find meaning⁣⁣
in the little moments of infinity⁣
and infinity in our destined mortality

The line I chose was from Herman Hesse’s novel Steppenwolf: ‘𝘌𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘫𝘰𝘬𝘦.’

Here are my previous NaPoWriMo2021 poems.

Day 2 – [420] If I Avoided Intuition
Day 3 – [422] Rain Inside Me
Day 4 – [423] Time Heals By Forgetting
Day 5 – [424] Your World Is Ours

  1. “eternity⁣⁣ is a joke God played on us⁣⁣”. LOL. That’s so funny.🤣😂. It’s funny that sometimes a joke conveys a serious message while a seemingly solemn event is a joke. 😜😎

  2. Well… Eternity was there in a silver Plata until Adam and Eve thanks for the snake point being eternity was there from the beginning. We not God played our own lives as the results we have the integrity death.great post

  3. There are many musings upon the Master of the Universess just now – will we be laughing or crying and will it matter in the end if one is there?

  4. The real joke is thinking we are even allowed to be alive without an all-powerful G-o-d that is in full control of life seen & unseen.Believe it or not. Interesting read…
