[445] The Puppeteer Falls

How does the common man end up
fighting for common air,
and grapple for basic necessities
provided by conscious comedians

When wide-eyed puppeteers
find their neatly held strings lacerated
their grip on their ivory throne dismally tightens
seeing our widening eyes gasping… for a mere breath

NaPoWriMo Day 26: Today, Iā€™d like to challenge you to write a parody. Just find a poem ā€“ or a song ā€“ that has always annoyed you, and write an altered, silly version of it. Or, alternatively, find a poem with a very particular rhyme scheme or form, and use that scheme/form as the basis for a poem that mocks something else.

Chose the alternative to mock the situation we find ourselves in. The poem I chose is the one used as an example that itself is a parody titled The Crocodile by Lewis Carol. So I parody a parody to parody this irony we’re living in if that makes sense.
