[180] Present Plight

Sometimes when the rain comes
I ask myself
Was i wrong to love you?
Is this waning self-confidence
worth your little display of affection
Is knowing that you are mine
only sometimes
worth hurting myself all the time?

I’m almost close to the answer
it lingers in a thought between the
past and the future
but then the rain stops.

  1. Really well written. Rain always has a strong aspect in poetry. I have seen many people who write poetry make many beautiful creations with the theme of rain and life. Yours is just like that. Beautiful. Keep it up!
