[529] The Hollow Earth

where vulnerability goes to die⁣
when the listener is self consumed⁣
where love goes to hide when you’re not present⁣
the hollow earth and its ravenous void⁣

the space of no return⁣
where lightning cannot be captured⁣
the constant beating of the heart⁣
consumes all friendships⁣

chasing a lost memory⁣
running on lost ground⁣
i see the glimpses of remembrance⁣
but forgetting makes a distracting sound⁣

where the lively close their eyes⁣
when time flees its demise⁣
where it’s the end of you and I⁣
the hollow earth or the end of my light

  1. “where it’s the end of you and I⁣
the hollow earth or the end of my light” – those lines are true magic, Rahul. This whole piece is so beautifully composed and authentically articulated. I reread that second stanza several times as it is so powerful in such a unique way. This is touching on so many levels, thank you 🤍🤗
