She’s got a past that betrays future
A mind so meticulous and a will so strong
it turns waves back that form in my mind
A walk so slow that you can’t help but notice
that she limps a little, a battle scar

She’s unlike anything any
imitating her is almost a blasphemy
but the way her eyes move
they hijack your mind
they teach you of yourself
but they lie all the time

So what to trust when she has said
not to trust her
Do you still put your faith
in something that is bound to end up
in a twisted sense of irony that she builds
in a past, that betrays future
but a woman
that betrays your sense of time.
