Cold wind blows to
nudge my mind to
places I have only been
once or twice
Closer to the secrets of life
that deny articulation
Feeble endeavours to
capture the evasive underway
The meaning of power
changed with realisations
Want is a just a prison
Not wanting is liberation
Softer hues of the blue sky
call me out of my artificial world
I venture on to let go of the stimuli
and submerge myself in not seeking at all

I don’t know that much about Buddhism… but isn’t this a Buddhist notion?

It is ever present in quite a lot of eastern philosophies. The learning is that we need to satisfied with the bare minimum and the material wants are just illusory as they happiness you derive from them is temporary.
