[381] Why We Write

I write what I deny to think in my own head. I surprise myself as I watch these thoughts become real. It feels like someone else holds the pen and writes things I didnโ€™t know I feel. He writes all that I thought I conquered but all I did was, lose to it.โฃ

Itโ€™s a reminder of all the things we donโ€™t tell ourselves to keep up the lie of sanity. Itโ€™s a remembrance of all that we donโ€™t know about ourselves, that our shadow hides. These writings are the brush with insanity that I am denied.

This is exactly how I feel when I journal. In fact, I liken journalling to learning how to listen to yourself. Great post. Thanks for sharing!
