[337] Anticipatory Love

Dissociation in style
I walk on reflected clouds
Itโ€™s a metaphorical living
I wish I could live on the ground
I always wander in the spaces
Liminal places of the nether world
where the shape of a snow is intact
and the anticipation of a surprise still better
than the surprise of you visiting
where you donโ€™t usually visit
Usually iโ€™m the first to arrive and
the last to depart
I walk away from closure
and run from the memories
of your touch
just to live
a little life of existing
where the potential of us
was precious and better
than the reality of not being good enough

  1. Lovely poetry…Beautiful. Wish i could press the like button twice/thrice maybe many times to express how much your poem has struck a chord in my heart.

  2. This post is quite thought-provoking. โ€œthe anticipation of a surprise still better
than the surprise of…โ€ just about anything? Living with unfulfilled dreams, anticipating the wonder of their fulfillment, but appreciating the here and now … no looking back … only now and what next. Thatโ€™s where itโ€™s at, Rahul. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝโค๏ธ
