In a dreamer’s dream
you arrived within a time storm
nudging me to my fate
and I followed you up
like you were Icarus’s sun
𝐈𝐈 – 𝘍𝘢𝘭𝘭/𝘓𝘰𝘴𝘴
A falling dream
is a common occurrence
for beings without control
for birds without wings
for dreamers without reality
𝐈𝐈𝐈 – 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘮/𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨
In a dreamer’s reality
I meet you again
I finally realise the tender thread between
being lost in your fantasy and
manifesting my own reality
NaPoWriMo Day 12: I’m calling this one “Past and Future.” This prompt challenges you to write a poem using at least one word/concept/idea from each of two specialty dictionaries: Lempriere’s Classical Dictionary and the Historical Dictionary of Science Fiction.
I chose the word; time storm and Icarus from Dictionary of Science Fiction and Classical Dictionary respectively. I chose the concept of Icarus’s myth and put it in the story of a dreamer who has to face his reality by understanding the difference between fantasy and imagination.
Haha! Too true!
I think the wax melted
It sure did 😛
Engaging throughout with a strong final stanza. The stanza titles add an interesting element.
