Starve your illusions
Sever all attachments
Feel things rather
than simply know them
Wisdom is the journey
you take with an incomplete
statue called knowledge
Refine it until
it becomes specific
to you and you alone
Until that statue becomes
a reflection of your higher self
you carried with you
from the unknown

Oh. My. God. Your writing just gets better and better, my friend! I absolutely love this one, especially this part:
โUntil that statue becomes
a reflection of your higher self
you carried with you
from the unknownโ
Phenomenal, Rahul. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. Itโs a blessing to know you ๐๐ป๐ค๐ค
Aw now you made my day ๐ Thank you for the constant support and love <3
That was the same quote I was gonna use to compliment Rahul on this poem. You beat me to it, Ace, so I will just tag onto your comment. Yes, “especially this part…”
Ahhh it is a special part indeed!! Rahul is awesome…he never fails to deliver stunning pieces! Thanks for tagging me ๐๐ป๐ค. Much love, my new friend ๐ค
Thank you, Ace. I like your handle: “Fearless Free Soul” – yes!!
Aww thank you!! Itโs who I am and my mission is to remind people thatโs who they truly are inside!!! Hereโs to being fearless and free ๐ค๐ค
Amen! May your mission find daily success! <3

Nicely written! VERY good. . . .
Thank you! Glad you found it to be good ๐
“Starve your illusions” great opening line. Sounds like a dope song name.
Haha now that you say it I think so too. Thank you!
Rahul, this is really, really good.
You know.. it strikes me that this line –
could actually stand on its own!

You’re welcome..!
It’s a beautiful read๐ซ
Thank you ๐
Free verse is probably the hardest for a poet to master because it has no rules. I believe you have achieved that effortlessly! Your poem has such a smooth flow! It reminds me of the lessons of the Bhagavad Gita. Really beautiful!
Means a lot. My words are nothing compared to the timeless lessons of Gita but thank you ๐
Rahul, your poems always resonate deeply with me. ๐
Love this~
“Feel things rather
than simply know them”
So glad it has the effect on you. Thank you for sharing your favourite lines ๐
My pleasure!
Until that statue becomes
a reflection of your higher self..
I won’t lie I read this poem 3-4.. and each time it somehow became than before! It’s so deep.
Wow, I didn’t know my poetry had the depth to be read 3-4 times. Thank you so much. Truly means a lot ๐
Yes that happens, sometimes we just write while keeping one perspective in mind but after when we have completed, we realise there could be other metaphorical and deep meanings as well
That’s the beauty of poetry!!
And I think poems written by you always carry deep meanings!
Keep it up!โบ๏ธ
For sure. Will try and improve and add more depth for you to spend more time with them ๐ค
Sureโฃ๏ธ
Make sure depth is not too much for you might have to explain it latter on!๐
(Just joking though๐ )
I love this poem, it resonates with me today especially the last four lines. This is good, insightful poetry, well-written. Great job Rahul! โค๐ฉโ๐ฆฐโค
