The anguish your lips
make me feel
defeat the
constant melancholy I feel
For they don’t touch
my lips
nor they open for my ears
They stay put
Opening only to close
breathing only to swallow words back
while my mind conjures
what you didn’t say
and twisting
what you didn’t mean
Alas, I am a storyteller
The maker of characters with deep flaws
to make them go through hell
so they learn something about themselves
in the end
When you don’t say what you don’t mean
We become the characters of the story
going through scenarios of deep pain
for it exists only in my mind
but I always forget to write an ending

Some stories can never end for fear that they will mean our death… Great poem.
