I waltz thinking about the mountains
And the night full of terror
A contradiction for sure
But so is love
the most beautiful thing that cripples us
Snow falls i’ve never witnessed
I carry them in my eyes
when i close them
They disappear in flashes when i blink
The perfect shape of numbness
The imperfection of weather
I see the red you used to wear
I see the eyes that used to smile
Now they carry memories of the past
Trapped inside the night of your eyes
I crumble when I see you
My eyes waltz in a rhythm unknown
There exists a snowfall in my mind
Each time i blink i’m reminded of the terror
But my eyes open to the nature of love
that doesn’t cripple but makes me numb
one blink at a time
